We are a dropout prevention program designed to help students become more successful in school. When a student is not attending class or in fear of expulsion, this special "school within a school" environment is designed to assist students and families in developing patterns that will lead to successful school participation.

We work with high school students at Riverview and North Port High Schools who are in danger of or who are currently failing.

We help students become successful in the classroom through a small learning environment emphasizing YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all phases of their lives and education. We are also willing to assist parents with their parenting skills in a group setting.

You will need to be referred to us by the administrative staff of your school. Afterwards, a person from the YMCA staff will contact you to come in for an intake screening.
